NDC 2024: Fringe Activities
Kickstart your celebrations on campus and engage in a rousing line-up of National Day-themed activities, organised just for you!
Racial Harmony Day Carnival 2024 (25 Jul 2024)
Celebrate Singapore’s vibrant tapestry of cultures with a day full of fun, learning and unity! This exciting event is organised by the LEAD Ambassadors in collaboration with the Students' Union, TP International Students Group, Design Studies Club, Engineering Student Ambassadors, and TP Mind Sports.

How to Participate:

Register: Start at the registration booth to get your Carnival Coupon.

Play & Enjoy: Visit each booth, participate in the activities, and collect stamps on your coupon.

Redeem: Use the stamps on your coupon to redeem free treats, such as sliced ice cream and candy floss!
That’s not all – enjoy a free lunch on us right after you register (while stocks last). Indulge in delicious hotdog buns and refreshing Thai milk tea as you partake in all the fun games!

In support of this exciting event, the Temasek Arts Centre proudly presents a brand-new initiative – Temasek Tides Concert 2024. Whether you are running or not, it is your ticket to a memorable evening of captivating performances, free hawker treats, and a celebratory mass sing-along session (National Anthem and TP Song) for everyone!
So grab your friends and loved ones, let loose, and psych up for an amazing evening on campus – the perfect way to kickstart your National Day celebrations!
Campus National Day Decorations (Aug 2024)
Be a proud Singaporean on our beautiful campus! Soak up the National Day vibes and be greeted by a colourful display of national flags and décor around The Plaza (and other locations in TP), in a special show of solidarity and support for our nation.
Broadcast of National Day Songs on RadioActive (Aug 2024)
What’s a birthday celebration without the playing of evergreen National Day hits? Sing along to your favourite songs and be regaled with these tunes on campus via RadioActive, and even film a viral TikTok video of you and your friends grooving to the beat!
TD40 Exhibition (5-8 Aug 2024)
This year marks 40 years of Total Defence (TD) in Singapore since its inception in 1984. In support of this milestone, a TD40 Exhibition will be displayed at the TP Library to reinforce the key messages underlying the importance of TD.
This exhibition invites you to take your first step on your own hero’s journey. Whether you are a hero to one or 100, no part played is too small. Unravel your response when faced with new threats and your role in the Singapore Story!

PFP National Day Captain’s Ball Games (6-8 Aug 2024)
Captain’s Ball is a team sport that facilitates teamwork and inclusivity, as well as promotes a sense of community spirit amongst its players. As part of their Fitness & Wellness lessons, students from the Polytechnic Foundation Programme will have the opportunity to celebrate National Day (ND) through their very own ND-themed Captain’s Ball Games!
Students will also be encouraged to don national colours (red/white) as they sweat it out on the court in the name of sporting fun, with prizes awarded to the top two winning classes for each day!
Military Defence Display by 23SA (8 Aug 2024)

Military Defence is a pivotal pillar of our Total Defence (TD) as a nation. In conjunction with TD40, the 23rd Battalion, Singapore Artillery (23SA) will proudly display the following artillery hardware right on our campus grounds!

Celebrations in the Schools (Aug 2024)
Commemorate National Day with your respective Schools through an array of meaningful activities – reflecting both your distinctive School spirit and our collective love and aspirations for Singapore – over the month of August!

In celebration of National Day, a sculpture-making competition will be held for ASC freshmen. Students will be organised into “Houses”, where they will fabricate their own sculptures using recycled materials to showcase their vision of Singapore. These works of art will be exhibited in ASC throughout the month of August 2024. |

7 Aug: The IIT Studies Club will organise a National Day-themed “IIT Friendship Day” for the IIT community, featuring carnival-style games/activities, for both staff and students to celebrate National Day together. |
